    Learning To Fly

    June 14, 2010 / 5 Comments

I was listening to Tom Petty the other day and got more than a little nostalgic when he crooned: I’m learning to fly, but I ain’t got wings Coming down is the hardest thing Yes, I am a child of the 80s & 90s, but more importantly (and less age related), I was thinking of how luscious it felt to fly around my pole for the first time (and every time thereafter).  I remembered how much time I spent trying to force something that now feels effortless and filled with joy. Before, I would fight through my entire practice session, kicking and jumping into my flying tricks (a painful &…

    Somedays The Dragon Wins

    October 29, 2007 / No Comments

Somedays the dragon wins…. but today is just not that day. I refuse to let a little setback like my 9-5 job get in the way of my dreams. Instead, I’ll keep learning, keep searching, keep discovering, everything that keeps my passion for authentic feminine movement alive. Today I rediscovered my forgotten love of writing, and decided to combine my two passions into a weekly blog. No Matter Where You Go, There You Are –True Author Unknown A good friend of mine once told me that “No matter where you go, there you are.” And damn if I don’t think she’s right. The only person that will make your dreams…

    Why I Dance (Almost) Naked

    March 1, 2011

HOWDY!

Yep, that's what I look like with a bit of photographic wizardry, before dancing frizzles up my hair, and after at least two cups of earl gray (HOT)!
