BE Movement
Balance Elemental (BE) Movement was developed to provide a safety based fitness system focused on the natural elements (Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, Fire) with personal support for students to release their inhibitions and body bound emotions through the development of their own individual dance style using the vertical pole and sensual somatic dance movements.
I currently offer ONLINE LESSONS to help students develop their exotic dance skills in private at their own pace as well as provide feedback and encouragement through email or scheduled chat session. My classes provide the student with an entire exotic dancing training system or simply complement your current local dance training with additional tricks, variations, and modifications.
I offer private sessions, semi-private sessions, workshops, and parties in both pole and exotic dance fused with one of the five elements to cultivate whole body balance.
Classes are progressive, focused in one of the five (5) elements, and consist of sensual whole body movements to warm up the body and create a calm, sensual atmosphere as well as a guided meditation to activate the elemental attributes and release any associated body bound emotions. Students will be presented with nice (PG rated) and naughty (R rated) movements and modifications for personal expression at their level of comfort. Each class will also include the required strengthening exercises, level specific pole tricks and sensual somatic dance movements (ie transitions, floor work, or wall work).
Polegini Levels 1-5 (Earth, Metal, Water, Wood, Fire)
Level 1, Earth – focuses on grounding the body, releasing the daily worries, and developing a healthy acceptance of the body. Students will be taught basic pole tricks, exotic dance, and introduction to climbing.
Level 2, Metal – emphasizes creating strength in the body while allowing the mind to express emotions through movement. Students will be given intermediate spins, introduction to inversions, and begin to develop improvisational movement through guided ShadowStyle meditation.
Level 3, Water – concentrates on fluid movement, and overcoming fear. Students will be taught additional climbing techniques, advanced spins, and basic inverted descents. This class also includes ShadowStyle improvisation challenges.
Level 4, Wood – emphasizes flexibility development both in the body and in an understanding of self-worth. Students will learn to extend into intermediate inverted poses, flying spins, and begin to create their own trick combinations. This class also includes intermediate to advanced ShadowStyle improvisation challenges.
Level 5, Fire – highlights the creation of improvisation for personal expression, communication of emotion, and embodiment of the authentic self. Students will develop skills in spinning inverts, air inverts, and other aerial transitions. This class includes advanced ShadowStyle improvisation challenges.
ShadowStyle Levels 1 & 2 (Basic, Intermediate) – no pole
Shadow Style – Learn sensual movement with a touch of mystery. These classes will teach you to create an exotic dance of shadow and light for you to express the burlesque queen or mud flap girl inside you.
Level 1 (Basic), focuses on teaching students basic exotic dance movements and short combinations. This foundation includes strength building as well as develops personal sensual expression through guided ShadowStyle meditation.
Level 2 (Intermediate), focuses on teaching students intermediate dance movements, and use of props such as chairs, scarves, and clothing for personal sensual expression. This class includes intermediate floorwork and wallwork as well as full group ShadowStyle improvisation challenges.
Warmup & Cooldown – All levels
Warmup and Cooldown – All dance classes begin with a stirring full body warmup focusing on one of the five elements and end with a soothing cooldown used to develop your sexyflexy style.
